Coming from Australia, I found the history of Italica amazing. Seeing actual ruins from the 2nd century is awesome . Great tour I had a wonderful time and as I am an older female solo traveller I would recommend it to other solo travellers.

This was a great tour. The sites are only 20-30 minutes away fro Seville by bus. It was interesting learning about Rome’s first settlement in Spain. Carlos, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable. The Emperors Hadrian and Trajan were both born here. The monastery was also interesting. Two little notes though. This isn’t really a Game of Thrones filming site tour. The guide mentioned quickly on our way out: “oh, by the way, the arena was the site of the dragon pit in Game of Thrones”. This wasn’t a big deal to me since I was really there for the Roman ruins, but I can imagine that someone specifically signing up for a Game of Thrones tour might be disappointed. The other thing is that despite Trip Advisor’s lowest price guarantee, the tour was about $10 cheaper if bought through the tour operator. I contacted Viatour (Trip Advisor booked the tour through them), and submitted a claim through their lowest price guarantee process, and a refund of the difference was provided promptly.

I absolutely loved the tour guide. She was amazing and very informative. The tour was
fantastic, educational and as a GOT (Game of Thrones) fan a dream come true.

Really enjoyable few hours spent at Italica. It’s a fascinating place and being able to get so close to the stadium and the town was amazing.
Our guide, Jesus, was a real highlight. He was knowledgeable and really entertaining. And was able to field questions in several languages.

Get the bus from Seville €1.60 each way.Take a sun hat sun cream and bottle of water! Entrance is free. Great to wander around this arcealogical site with many restoration works going on to the mosaics. Visualise GOT this is where they filmed part of last season . Watch the free video in room to right as you enter the site.

We thoroughly enjoyed our half-day trip to Italica. Our guide, Miguel, made the history of this Roman city come alive. The site is large and well managed.
I found the anticlimactic Monastery tour and pit stop for a taste of local wine to be superfluous.
Nonetheless, we whole-heartedly recommend the tour.

We went on this tour of a Roman site without knowing it was a Game of Thrones filming location. I'm a fan of Roman stuff and GoT, and so the latter was a welcome bonus. The trip was quick, cheap, fun and informative, and was led by a friendly, bubbly guide who provided information in Spanish and English. A two-hour-tour (including a 15-minute bus ride each way) didn't seem very long at first, but given the 37 degree days in June, it turned out to be just right.

We did the tour of Italica , I was only going because my husband fancied the tour.. Well changed my mind!! Loved it. Our tour guide Isabella was brilliant 😀.. I have to say would be rubbish without a guide, she was great . I who am not a sightseer thoroughly enjoyed it. Top trip. 👍🏼

Went to the italica site. Some of the art was amazing and unbelievably preserved.
It was great to see the site which Game of Thrones was filmed.
If you get chance try to wonder off a little and see the sights the tour guide will not show.
