We scheduled a sales meeting at The MC Hotel in Montclair, NJ since it was central to the sales team. The meeting room had the technology and the food was good. Also the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Celebrity Ascent-Don’t spend extra money for a concierge room… not worth it! The so-called “Veranda/Balcony Room” is basically a bumped out space in the room with a window that slides half way down. When the window was open the AC in the room would shut off and the room would get extremely warm. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience in our concierge room. We specifically asked for a balcony room with no obstruction but these concierge rooms were on the 12th deck and there was an overhang with 2 side poles which basically obstructed the views . When I complained to guest service about it, they said that they do not consider it an obstruction when clearly it is! Also, above us was the running path bridge and every morning around 5am we would hear the pounding/thumping sound from runners that would wake us up… on top of that was the lounge chair area which we would hear screeching sounds from people moving their chairs. It was not a pleasant experience. For the size of the ship the pool area is not big enough. Food could have been better. Will probably try another cruise line next time.
