Welcome to Umeå, a vibrant city on the Swedish Baltic coast. After landing at the airport, a bus or cab will whisk you off to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city at your leisure. Take a stroll along the beach promenade, or warm up in one of the city's cozy cafés. In the evening, meet your fellow travelers and tour guide over dinner at the Elite Hotel Mimer, a 4-star hotel located in the heart of the city.

Start your day with a tour of Umeå, the largest city in northern Sweden. After the tour, we'll head inland to Lycksele, a renowned winter sports center. Today, we'll journey through small villages and reach the town of Piteå, located at the mouth of the natural national river Piteälv. After a break, we'll head towards Luleå, stopping at Gammelstad, the largest preserved church village in Northern Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, we'll arrive in Luleå, where you'll stay at the historic Elite Stadshotellet.

We'll journey north along the River Luleälv, crossing the Arctic Circle and stopping at Jokkmokk to visit the Ájtte Museum, the main museum for Sami culture. Learn about the culture and life of the Sami, the indigenous people of Lapland. In the afternoon, we'll reach Kiruna, Sweden's northernmost city. If the weather permits, we'll set off on foot in the evening in search of the Northern Lights. Overnight at the family-run Camp Ripan.

Today, we'll set off in search of moose before visiting the small village of Jukkasjärvi, home to the famous Icehotel. Marvel at the ice art suites, each uniquely designed by artists from around the world. In the afternoon, explore Kiruna at your leisure. You might choose to hire snowshoes or cross-country skis and explore the winter trails, or join another search for the Northern Lights after dark. Overnight at Camp Ripan.
Day 7 – Day 7: From Kiruna to Tromsø via Finland

Today, we'll head north to the border of Finland. Visit a reindeer farm in Kilpisjärvi, where you'll learn about Sami culture and get up close with the reindeer. Then, we'll make our way to Norway, stopping at the Lyngenfjord before reaching Tromsø, the secret capital of the European Arctic. Settle in for the night at the Enter St. Elisabeth Hotel & Suites.
