Embark on a full-day guided tour to the enchanting Black Forest, where you'll visit an open-air museum, an authentic water mill, and witness a traditional butter-making demonstration. Alternatively, explore the medieval city center of Freiburg, nestled amid the vineyards of the Upper Rhine Valley. We'll then sail to Strasbourg, where you'll spend the night.

Join a city tour of Strasbourg's highlights, including the Gothic Strasbourg Cathedral and the charming La Petite France District. You may also choose to visit the historic Maginot Line or Alsace's wine country. After a day of exploration, we'll set sail for Rüdesheim, where you'll spend the night.

Spend the day exploring Rüdesheim. Hike through picturesque vineyards, visit the unique Mechanical Music Museum, or take a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument. In the afternoon, relax on the Sky Deck as we pass through the spectacular Rhine Gorge on our way to Boppard. Enjoy some free time in Boppard before we continue our journey to Frankfurt.

Join a guided sightseeing tour of Frankfurt, a city that beautifully combines cultural landmarks and financial headquarters with the cozy ambiance of quaint neighborhoods. Alternatively, take a guided tour to Seligenstadt, one of Germany's oldest towns, and visit the historic Einhard Basilika. We'll then sail to the picturesque Main River Village, where you'll spend the night.

Take a guided sightseeing tour of Würzburg, visiting the Old Main Bridge, the towering fortress, and the baroque Bishop's Residenz. You may choose to join a guided optional excursion to the beautiful Bavarian town of Rothenburg. After a day of exploration, we'll set sail for Bamberg, where you'll spend the night.

Take a guided walking tour of Bamberg, the historic home to imperial dynasties. Visit its Romanesque cathedral, Old Town Hall, and seven hills crowned with churches. After the tour, enjoy some free time with a glass of German-style Rauchbier (smoked beer). We'll then set sail for Nuremberg, where you'll spend the night.

Take a full-day guided tour of the highlights of fascinating Munich. Visit Nymphenburg Palace, a former residence of German monarchs, and explore the old and new Town Halls of Marienplatz. After a day of exploration, return to your ship docked in Nuremberg for the night.

Start your day with a bike ride around the port area of Nuremberg or enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the Bavarian town of Roth. Alternatively, choose a guided tour of Nuremberg's medieval architecture, gilded fountain, Gothic cathedral, and Kaiserburg Castle, or visit the historic Nuremberg Rally Grounds. We'll then set sail for Regensburg, where you'll spend the night.

Join a guided city walk and see Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) and Porta Pretoria, built in 179 AD as the entrance to Castra Regina fortress. You may choose to join a guided optional excursion to visit the Benedictine Monastery in Weltenburg. We'll then set sail for Passau, where you'll spend the night.

Join your Avalon Adventure Host for a morning hike through Melk's beautiful countryside or take a guided tour of Melk's magnificent Benedictine Abbey. Enjoy a coffee or a cocktail on the Sky Deck as you sail through the picturesque Wachau Valley to Vienna, where you'll spend the night.

Hike up to a magnificent viewpoint in Budapest or enjoy a guided city sightseeing, including the iconic Heroes' Square. Spend the afternoon soaking in one of Budapest's famous thermal baths or consider a scenic hike above the Danube. Spend the night in Budapest.
