Begin your adventure in the charming alpine village of Arolla, nestled at an impressive altitude of 1998 meters. Your accommodation for the night is the Hotel du Glacier (or similar), a delightful 2-star hotel perched on the edge of the village, offering breathtaking vistas from its terrace.

Awake to the stunning views of Pigne d’Arolla, Mont Colon, and Aiguille de la Tsa. Begin your trek from Arolla along the Val d’Arolla, following a scenic path above the treeline to the picturesque Lac Bleu. Here, you can choose to extend your hike or descend through lush meadows to Les Hauderes. Opt for the higher route for a more challenging adventure, leading you under the peak of L’Etoile before descending steeply into Les Hauderes. Covering 15 km over approximately 7 hours, this day promises breathtaking landscapes. Rest at the Hotel Melezes (or similar), a comfortable 3-star hotel conveniently located at the village entrance.

Grimentz serves as an ideal base for exploring the upper Moiry valley. Take a public bus to save time and witness the spectacular Moiry glacier from the terrace of Cabane Moiry. Alternatively, embark on a captivating walk across the Col de Sorebois to Zinal, offering breathtaking views of the Weisshorn and Zinal Rothorn. Return to Grimentz by bus or enjoy a leisurely walk along forest trails. For more adventure, take the gondola above the village for additional hiking options. Spend another night at the Hotel de Moiry (or similar), soaking in the village's charm.

Set off through the tranquil forest to Mottec in the Zinal valley, where your ascent to the Hotel Weisshorn begins. Climb 900 meters to reach this charming chalet-style hotel, renowned for its stunning views and excellent cuisine. Enjoy a delightful dinner at the hotel's restaurant, which offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains. Note that your luggage will be sent ahead to Gruben, so pack essentials for your overnight stay at the Hotel Weisshorn (or similar).

Embark on a scenic trek over the Meidpass, enjoying breathtaking views of the Schwarzhorn, Gletschhorn, and Weisshorn. As you cross the pass, enter the German-speaking region of Switzerland. Pause for a picnic by the serene Meidsee Lake before descending into the tranquil Turtmanntal valley. Arrive in Gruben, a peaceful and unspoiled village, where you'll stay at the Schwarzhorn Mountain Hut (or similar). This accommodation offers basic twin rooms or dormitory-style lodging, providing a cozy and authentic alpine experience.

Begin your ascent to the Augstbordpass, the final mountain pass of your trek. The path leads you to the Tara viewpoint, offering one of the most spectacular panoramas in the Alps, with views stretching from the Jungfrau to Lyskamm. Descend into the Mittertal Valley, reaching Jungu, where you can choose to walk or take a cable car down to St Niklaus. From here, continue your journey to Zermatt by train or bus. Settle into the Hotel Capricorn (or similar) for a two-night stay, enjoying the hotel's Swiss chalet charm and amenities, including a sauna and a restaurant with views of the Matterhorn.
