City Escape: Peloponnese Private Day Trip

We had a perfect day traveling and seeing the sights with Nikos. He was very informative, flexible and fun! It was an awesome way to get out of the city and see Napflio and the countryside.

We spent the entire day with Nikos visiting the Peloponnese Peninsula stopping at the Corinth Canal, Epidarus and the lovely town of Napflio…all wonderful places to explore. Nikos made our visit memorable due to his extraordinary wealth of knowledge as well as his easy going and accommodating manner. Truly a memorable day….thank you Nikos!

Nikos, our tour guide was Amazing and very knowledgeable of Peloponnese region. Our day tour was booked for June 13th but we had to change it to 14th due to extreme hot weather. Nikos was very accommodating and changed the tour date for us. We felt like we were with local friend. He is the best tour guide you can have. Anyone who is looking to do Peloponnese day tour should definitely consider it with Nikos.

We had a customized tour with Nikolas who picked us up from the airport and showed us Corinth Canal, ancient theater of Epidaurus and Micenae, and gave us a glimpse of Nafplio before dropping us off at our hotel in that beautiful little sea town. We enjoyed the sites despite the heat, and had a lot of fun learning about the culture, history and food from Nikolas. This was not cheap but it worked well for us. We highly advise visiting Peloponnese!

Our time spent with Thomas was the highlight of our two-week trip. He took us around the Peloponnese region, which was interesting and often very beautiful. Thomas was the real highlight of the tour, though. Not only does he know the area well, he was interested in getting to know us and to share about his life. We felt like old friends by the end of the day.

We spent the day exploring the Peloponnese with Nikos and it was exceptional in every way. Nikos has a wealth of information about Greek history, politics, photography, travel and he's just a great guy. I asked him if we could stop for coffee and pastries first thing and he chose a terrific spot on the way out of Athens. We then stopped in Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplion for lunch, and then Epidaurus. This was just a few days after the horrific storms hit northern Greece and he helped us reschedule our itinerary over lunch and even tried to call Hellenic Trains for more information. It was a wonderful day and we feel we've made a friend. Do not hesitate to book Nikos for your tour.

Nikos was an excellent host. He drove us to Corinth where we saw the canal and the Corinth Museum. Before each stop, he described in great detail what we were about to see. We then drove to the sea town of Nafpoli where we ate a wonderful lunch and a walking tour of the city. We ended our activities in ancient Epidaurus, with a wonderful view of the theater after a descriptive explanation of the mythology surrounding the whole area and use of the theater today. If you want a superb time and to add to your knowledge of Ancient Greece, then Nikos is the best guide!

A half day tour around Athens on an Easter Sunday morning and a full day trip to the Pelopponese on an Easter Monday with Manos immersed us in Greek culture, both ancient and modern. Manos was knowledgeable about so many ideas in Greek history and philosophy and answered our many questions about their way of life with frankness and intelligence. He was accommodating of our lingering style of exploring places and was genuinely interested in our culture and way of life too. Felt like travelling with a friend. We sure made one! Withlocals seems a great place to come to, if one wants to truly experience another culture. Efharisto!

Niko was an amazing tour guide for our trip to the countryside. He took me and my two daughters to see the Peloponnese area. We visited some ruins, the canal and had a lovely lunch in a quant town. Coming back a different way, we were able to see the diverse landscape. I would highly recommend Niko as he is a natural storyteller and know a lot of Greek history. I cannot say enough how wonderful of a guide he was for us.
