From Athens: Bus Trip to Mycenae, Epidaurus and Nafplio

If possible try to get Katerina as your guide. She was very informative and knew the history very well. She seems to truly enjoy her job

Excellent trip. Great day to visit two major archaeological sites and a beatiful town, Nauplio.

The guide occures mainly during thw road trip, but the information was great.

Ticket does not include the archaelogical sites.

This was a very good tour with excellent guide/driver- plenty of free time to discover the sites and the guide was very knowledgeable to explain things while on the drive to them. Friendly and professional staff and very interesting places she took us to see and learn about.

The trip was amazing! It was nice that at each stop we had time to explore on our own rather than following a guide around. Our guide was an excellent driver and also had lots of excellent information to share about the region’s history. He knew about the so many different time periods and was able to answer all my father’s questions. For anyone who would rather explore sites on their own, this is the trip for you.

Very awesome tour, and well worth my time. Epidaurus is a criminally underrated tour destination here! Mycenae was great too! Nafplio can be considered as just a rest stop. Not much to see or do there.

The tour guide, Theodore, was very knowledgeable and funny. He gave a lot of good information to help familiarize us with the sites we were visiting. We also got some free time to explore the three sites, which was a nice balance.

It would have been nice to spend a bit more time in Napflio, as it was a gorgeous day and such a pretty town.

The ride back was also beautiful, as we saw lots of sea and clear skies.

Made us love Greece and its history.

He was on time and gave an accurate description of the trip.

The only thing missing was WI FI on the bus.

And bottles of water would have been nice.

We had a great guide for the day, Katerina, who really elevated the experience. She was funny, knowledgeable and peppered us with historical facts, mythology, anecdotes about Greek culture throughout the bus ride. This plus the incredible scenery made what would’ve been a long ride, quite pleasant. The bus was very comfortable as well. A few reviews have expressed disappointment that the guide doesn’t follow you into the sites but the placards at each site are informative and we actually enjoyed going at our own pace, as I’m sure the others did as well. The prelude Katerina gave us before each visit was also helpful context to set the stage before each visit. The one small thing we would change is more time at Epidaurus and perhaps half an hour less time at Nafplio (as beautiful as it is!) but we acknowledge everyone has a different preference here. We felt we had sufficient time at Mycenae and Nafplio. Overall, it was a great experience, thoughtfully crafted and reasonably priced for what you get.

A great experience, Crisa, our guide was an amasing and knowledgeable profesional, she taught us some history in a very entertaining and interesting way. The tour was well organised and if you want to learn something about the early history of Greece, this is the place.
