This was a real treat. Our hosts could not have been better. We toured the vegetable garden, picked some herbs and pepper, retired to their charming home and helped cook a three course meal. It was fun, instructional and most of all delicious. They took photos throughout and emailed those as well as the recipes of the dishes we prepared so that we had a great memory of the experience. Overall they get five stars.

Wonderful experience shopping and touring the market with Giuseppe; and then returning to his kitchen for a cooking class and a late lunch! Back to Ortigia in time to see some sights.

This is a must do if you are in Ortigia - it was so much more than just a cooking class . Our main host Guiseppe was incredibly knowledgeable, relaxed and helpful
Started out with a walk through local markets to experience local life and buy fresh ingredients. We were welcomed to the family country home, where we cooked, laughed and with different members of the family coming to the home, felt immersed into local life.
We all sat together in the family dining room sharing fresh food and wine, - Bellissimo !
Thank you Guiseppe, Christina and Letezia for such a memorable experience

Very nice experience. As Danes we are not the most outspeaking and social people but it was so easy to chat and cook. Can only recommend doing this with your teens, and have a different experience together 😀

No one can prepare you for this experience. It’s a full immersion of culture, eduction, family and fun! Yes folks - it’s a cooking class … but so much more! Giuseppe is a fabulous host - he met us the market, showed us around and gave us a wonderful history lesson of Sicilian food products and classic dishes. We bought a few ingredients for our meal from the local vendors, along with some other items that we wanted to take home with us. Next, we went to his family home and he showed us his lovely garden, and we grabbed a few more fresh ingredients (you got to try one of their tomatoes straight from the vine - yum!). After gathering the remainder of our ingredients, we started to prepare our meal .. well right after he served us Prosecco🥂
We made so many dishes, it was so much fun! Lots of laughing, learning, and full glasses. After we prepared our meal, we sat at their family table and shared the fruits of our labor. Everything tasted amazing, the two dishes that stood out to us were the eggplant ones ~ Pasta all Norma and Involtini di Melanzane (chef kiss)!
Needless to say, we didn’t want to leave! We had such a great time getting to know Giuseppe and his beautiful family .. including the kitties.
This is must experience if you’re visiting Siracusa ~ the food is delicious, but the company takes the cake!

My husband, adult son, and I attended this class - and it was truly amazing. The leads of this cooking class, Giuseppe and Leticia are fantastic teachers, and excellent hosts. We enjoyed the shopping, and then cooking at their family home. They created a warm and relaxed environment, where everyone participated, and everyone felt comfortable. The food and drinks were amazing (and generous) from start to finish, and we felt like we were visiting with great family friends, helping out, and learning a lot at the same time.

Our day started off in the Ortigia market, where Giuseppe introduced us to Siracusa's summer selection of fruits, the swordfish and sardines, and vegetables. We then drove over to their home a few minutes away for an afternoon of cooking made with the recently bought produce as well as some choice selections from their backyard garden. We did the experience with a 9-year-old and 5-year-old, and they were kept busy with some good cooking tasks. We can only hope this translates into them wanting to cook when they get back home!
Overall, we felt welcomed in the home as we worked our way through a number of recipes, tasting along the way, and couldn't have been happier with the day.
Grazie mille!

This is an amazing experience of Sicily. After going to the market to buy your fresh vegetables and fish Letizia welcomes you into her home and together you cook several Sicilian dishes she learned from her mother and grandmother. Come very hungry because you will be eating a lot of delicious dishes. Letizia is very generous and wants to share with you all that there is of Sicily. You cannot miss this one!!

We had the most wonderful experience with Guiseppe and Letizia for this cooking course. We started by buying seasonal ingredients from the market that we cooked together in their country house. Their extensive vegetable garden provided more ingredients. They were so generous with their time and sharing their passion of the farm to table approach in traditional Sicilian cooking. We started with an aperol and a platter of their homemade produce followed by cooking a 3 course meal that we shared with our group at their dining table. Everything we prepared was absolutely delicious . Highly recommend doing this course when you are visiting Syracuse.

It was an authentic and convivial experience. Witnessing purchasing the produce at the market was great. The group was warmly welcomed into Letizia’s home. All was unrushed, peppered with plenty of tips. We covered a range of recipes and the results were delish. Highly recommend’
