We booked a private tour via City Unscripted.it was worth every penny. Our guide,Benedetta tailored our tour perfectly, based on our answers to the questionnaire the company sent us at the time of booking. Benedetta was on time, friendly and spoke excellent English. She was able to answer all our myriad questions about the city and its history. She was a fount of knowledge and made the experience all the more enjoyable.

We always book private tours in cities we have not visited before as you get a much more intimate view of the place and although it is generally a more expensive option, you get your money’s worth.

Never did a tour like this and didn’t know what to expect but was really happy we booked with Roberto. If I could have I would have traversed Venice with Roberto our whole time here. He was informative but it was clear he loves Venice and wants you to see it through a local Venetian eyes. Thank you for the additional advice on where to go off the beaten path.

Great walking tour of Venice. Daniel did a good job of personalizing our experience. He had a great knowledge of the city and was kind enough to pick ua up at our hotel.

Amazing tour. Victoria was such a great guide, she showed us all the highlights of Venice in our time with her. It was fantastic to see and take it all in. She was so friendly it felt as if you were exploring Venice with a relative.

Victoria was also quite accommodating , our train got delayed and she was very considerate in shifting our scheduled tour time and waited on us to arrive. Very polite and friendly, also felt quite comfortable with her during the tour. Will definitely recommend if you would like to have a great experience!

Really enjoyed this Secret Gems in Venice tour. Venice itself is AMAZING and so much to see and enjoy. After 3 days of seeing all the major 'tourist' sites, we embarked on this walking tour to see a side of Venice that we would have otherwise never seen nor even known to look for.

We strolled down quiet streets and saw a beautifully different side of the city. I'd say we got to see more of what the locals would enjoy. The neighborhoods were charming and the local restaurants were full of locals just enjoying their daily routines. This was a very relaxing and very enjoying thing to take part in.

What made the walk the most special was our host: Benedetta (Bene)! She knew the streets to go on, she knew the local neighborhoods well, and she also knew which turns to make to see beautifully stunning places that we would have otherwise walked right past! To make it even better, the whole time we were walking, Bene engaged us with conversations and stories about all sorts of Venetian things. We truly learned so much!

Additionally, after the tour, Bene gave us the BEST recommendation EVER for a local restaurant to eat at for dinner. It was not full of tourists; it was full of locals. The food was AMAZING and the service was over-the-top. It was our last night in Venice, and what a way to end the trip.

A personal experience with a person with a direct and personal connection to the place you are visiting is always the best. Roberto was that and more. Helpful, insightful, gracious and flexible. Fantastic half day with Davide. Like exploring on your own with no schedule or guide telling you what to do but an expert on hand for advice, information and insights on all the little details. The private tour was very nice a personalized. They worked with me on time and itinerary. Some of the stops were a bit high pressure sales, but overall a very nice experience.
