Canyoning Adventure in Ribeira da Salga (Sao Miguel - Azores)

What a fantastic experience! The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. I am a relatively fit 57 years old female, and always felt safe under their guidance. This was a thrilling way to experience the Azores, and I would highly recommend this tour to others who are seeking adventure.

Great trip. Will be a highlight. Incredible surroundings. My family loved it. Exciting trip through the lush landscape with rappels and jumps that will excite all. Fun for those with canyoneering experience as well. Our guides were awesome. They love their jobs and it showed through their experience and enjoyment of canyoneering. Highly recommend.

This was our first canyoning tour and we really enjoyed it. Due to the weather situation we had to take a different route than originally planned, but it was non the less a great experience. The size of the group was small therefore we ever had to wait long for everyone to catch up. Our guides were amazing. They made us feel safe throughout the tour and explained everything well. They also gave lots of background information about the area and the Azores in general. We definitely recommend a tour with this company.

My wife, teenage daughter and me had a great experience. I was afraid of heights but the guides made me feel safe enough to zip line, abseil and jump off a cliff even though there were options to avoid any of the challenges. A morning we will never forget in the beautiful Azores! The guides were fun but serious when they needed to be. Always felt safe!

Our guides Rodrigo & Daniela were absolutely amazing! They were super knowledgable about the history of the island, answered all of our questions, made sure we were safe and were extremely friendly. Overall we really enjoyed our excursion!

FYI the water is cold in April so be prepared, and the half day is the perfect amount. This tour is no joke if you're not in good shape

First time canyoning and I cannot recommend it enough. It was breathtaking. The jumps and rappelling was so fun. I called ahead to reserve the most difficult trip, and they didn't advise that for beginners like us, even though we are both active people. I am so happy they recommended this trip. It was just the right amount of adventure. My favorite part of the whole trip. The guides were very fun, made us feel safe and yet challenged us. Just book it!

The canyon was breathtaking, with lots of adventurous parts, jumps, and rappels, waterfalls. I felt safe the whole time, and we saw amazing fauna sorrounding the river. We were only a small group of 7, with 2 experienced and fun guides, it was a great adventure.

This was the third activity that we booked with Fun Activities and while the first two (e-Bike in Sete Cidades and kayaking Vila Franca) were great, this was truly the highlight. It's hard to tell on their website, but this is probably the most advance of the canyoning tours, but it probably is the most rewarding as well. I don't want to scare anyone off. If you're in good physical condition and not afraid of heights, it's 1000% worth doing. Our guides, Hugo and Ivan, did a great job making everyone feel comfortable and making things fun, even the crazy, muddy, uphill hikes in and out to the river. The scenery is beautiful and I think they are the only tour company that does canyoning in this area, so you feel like you have this place all to yourselves.

At the end of the day/trip, we were sore in places but like I said, it was so worth it and Fun Activities does a great job even in you're a beginner like me!

This was one of the highlights of our entire trip to the Azores! The guides were so accommodating, especially when we went to the wrong pick-up place and they waited for us to start the tour.

The climb and trail to the water was an adventure- like going through a jungle, and we had so much fun jumping/rappelling through the canyons.

The guides were very conscious and offered options for all levels of comfort when it came to jumps. We enjoyed it thoroughly!
