Good to know

This activity is subject to weather conditions and may be canceled if there are strong winds or rain. Please bring your own food and water as there is no shop in the village. You can canoe in a 2 or 3 person canoe. It is advised that you bring extra clothes in case your clothes get wet while canoeing. Your belongings can be left at the house while you canoe. Cameras and phones will be kept in special boxes while canoeing. The starting spot is the village of Watergang. You can reach it by bus (#301/307) from Amsterdam Metrostation Noord. You can pay with your credit card on the bus (check-in and out). The village doesn't have any shops or cafes, so bring your own drinks and food if you'd like to relax in the village. If you go by car, park the car at the Populierweg or Kanaaldijk. The village street is too small to park your car. If you go by bike, allow a minimum of 40 minutes from the north part of the ferry (north of Amsterdam Central Station)
