The IRIS is known for its great dinners and loads of choices for breakfast. You will love it.
Special diets are a piece of cake for our chefs. Please let us know upfront. Being on a ship includes not being able to run to a store to get extra supplies.
A coffee/tea machine provides caffe latte, cappuccino, etc, and hot water for tea or decaf coffee. This machine operates 24/7. And for free!
Also a cookie jar and a fruit basket, and snacks at return from the cycling.
The whole package is pretty much all inclusive. You don't need to spend much more money, except for coffees/drinks on the road.
Extra drinks are available on the self service bar, with moderate prices and to be paid on the last evening

Our premium passenger barge IRIS:
Sailing since 2006, will be your comfortable home-away-from-home. As you are biking, the ship moves to the next destination. If you are on board, the front deck is the place to enjoy the sailing. At night we dock so that you can go for evening strolls. Your cabin has two single beds (80 x 200 cm) and a private bathroom.
The ship has a cosy lounge area, a self-service bar and a salon where breakfast and dinner are served.
We travel with 1 guide, or 2 if we have more than 18 guests (max = 24). Our English speaking guides are very informative and you might be dazzled by all the stories they tell in a week's time. They will take you to their favourite spots. There is truly no better way to explore a country.

We kick off our adventure in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, where we board the IRIS and set sail. Enjoy the picturesque view of Amsterdam from the water before hopping on your bike for a scenic ride along the Vecht, where you'll see the grand estates of Amsterdam's elite. We end our day in the charming town of Wijk Bij Duurstede, where you can enjoy a leisurely evening stroll before retiring to your comfortable cabin.

Day two takes us to the enchanting National Park Hoge Veluwe, a haven of natural beauty. We then visit the world-renowned Kröller-Müller art gallery, home to the largest private Van Gogh collection. Our day ends in the historic city of Arnhem, where you can explore the city center teeming with art, fashion, and all things 'Lekker'.

On day three, we visit the 13th-century Doornenburg Castle before crossing the border into Germany. We then explore the city of Emmerich, home to Germany's longest suspension bridge and the Rhine Museum. Our day concludes in the medieval city of Rees, where you can enjoy a glass of Riesling or a beer stein while watching the Rhine flow by.

Day four takes us through the historic Ruhr region, once the heart of Germany's Industrial Revolution. We then cycle through the world's largest inland harbour in Duisburg before reaching the modern city of Düsseldorf. Here, you can explore the Altstadt along the river or check out the Media Harbor. In the evening, enjoy a traditional German meal at the 17th-century Füchschen Brewery.

On day seven, we ride into Bonn, the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven and home to the world-famous Haribo factory. You can also visit the Botanical Gardens at Poppelsdorf Palace, one of the oldest and most beautiful gardens in Germany. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring Bonn's parks, gardens, and river promenade.

Day eight takes us past the Siebengebirge hills and into the legendary middle Rhine valley. We sail past the ancient Dragon's Rock and start our biking adventure in Remagen. We then head to Koblenz, where we moor in the shadows of the mighty Ehrenbreitenstein fortress. Here, you can enjoy a glass of the noble Riesling grape or a beer in the local Biergarten.
