European Whirl (Winter, End Paris, 12 Days)

Start your European adventure in London, where you'll meet your Travel Director. From there, we'll board the Eurostar™ for a high-speed train journey to Brussels, followed by a luxury coach ride to Amsterdam. Get acquainted with this historic Dutch city on an orientation tour, before enjoying a delightful dinner cruise on its famous canals.

Today, we journey through the verdant landscapes of The Netherlands and Germany, arriving in Boppard. Here, we embark on a scenic cruise along the Rhine to St. Goar, taking in the sight of vineyard-clad hills and medieval castles. Our final stop for the day is the Baroque city of Heidelberg, where we'll explore its hidden gems before retiring to our hotel.

Cross the Swabian Alps and the edge of the Black Forest to reach Munich, the Bavarian capital. After a brief orientation, we cross into Austria, arriving in Innsbruck, the 'capital of the Alps'. Marvel at the city's Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture, including the famous Golden Roof. Consider spending your evening enjoying traditional Tyrolean entertainment.

Today, we journey through the Brenner Pass into Italy, crossing the Dolomite Mountains to Venice. We'll cruise the beautiful Venetian lagoon by private launch to St. Mark's Square. Admire the ornate Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Experience the centuries-old craft of Venetian glassblowing and enjoy some free time to explore this enchanting city at your own pace.

Travel south across the Veneto Plain, passing Bologna and the dramatic Apennine Mountains. En route to Rome, the 'Eternal City', we'll stop for a special lunch at a Be My Guest experience, where you'll enjoy true Tuscan hospitality with a local family on their private estate in the Chianti countryside.

Discover the divine beauty of the Vatican City with a visit to St. Peter's Basilica. Continue to Ancient Rome to view the Roman Forum, the iconic Colosseum, and Circus Maximus. The afternoon is yours to explore the city on your terms. Consider joining an Optional Experience to see the magnificent frescoed ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
