Welcome to Turkey! Our journey begins at 11am from the Hotel Centrum in Istanbul (or similar). We'll travel by private bus to the historical Gallipoli Peninsula, with a midway comfort stop. Upon arrival, we'll explore the town of Eceabat and enjoy a BBQ dinner. We then proceed to the Anzac Commemorative site, a significant location for Australians and New Zealanders. Here, amidst the serene beauty, we'll learn about the WW1 battles that shaped the nations. We'll spend the night in the ceremonial area near ANZAC Cove. Please note, it can get quite cold, so a sleeping bag is recommended.
Day 2 – Day 2: ANZAC Cove - Istanbul
Day 2: ANZAC Cove - Istanbul
After the main ceremony at ANZAC Cove, there will be time to visit other country ceremonies and graves of personal significance. Later, we'll board our bus to return to Istanbul, aiming to arrive around 8 pm. Please note, departure from the peninsula can be slow as we must wait for our bus in a respective order allocated by the authorities. We recommend arranging an additional night's accommodation for the evening of day 2, or planning any departure from Istanbul for the late evening.
