Ephesus in the Eyes of Time (After the style of Nâzım Hikmet) We walked where emperors walked, where traders whispered silvered deals, where poets carved verses into stone— but we did not walk alone. Nâzim, child of Ephesus, grew up among the ruins, his bicycle spinning where chariots once roared, his feet knowing every worn marble step, his voice carrying the weight of centuries. With a sweep of his hand, columns rose, frescoes glowed, the library filled with scholars, the theater echoed with cheers. A city not lost, but waiting— and he unlocked its gates. And there, among the ghosts of Rome, Garfield the cat, wise and golden, watched us with the knowing eyes of a god turned to fur and whiskers. We climbed to the House of Mary, where the air was thick with quiet prayers. We stood before Artemis, her temple a whisper of what once was, but still, she stood. And always, Nâzim— gentle, watchful, sure-footed, guiding, steadying, sharing. A bridge between time and today. T

Enjoyed this trip a lot, Mel was a great guide and well-informed, and provided great recommendations. Small group size was ideal, and we saw lots of interesting sights throughout the tour. The standatd trip to the carpet weavers could have been shorter, but at least it was air conditioned and I got a coffee. Overall, would reccommend.
