My son and I had a tour on New Year's Day just for ourselves. It was lovely, individual and relaxed. We were surprised by the breathtaking scenery between two mountains, a lot of things have been preserved or reconstructed and the guide explained everything informatively. The new digital show in the specially built multi-media building is appealing. The big theater is amazing. I didn't know that international stars had performed here before and immediately afterwards I watched Elton John's concert from July 2001 on the internet. I wish more big stars would come there. What travelers need to know is that such tours are always linked to sellers (shops, shows, etc.), you are guided there specifically. So always keep an eye on your money. I think I paid a little too much for a beautiful, but probably artificial, zultanite at the lower exit of Ephesus. I still like the ring. The motto is to stay strong and be able to say no!

Our guide Nergis is polite and very knowledgeable. She not only knows Ephesus inside out, but also other historical sites in Turkey. We are very impressed with her depth of knowledge. However, I am giving her a 3 star because of her offensive comments on US foreign policy at the end of the tour. As someone who’s been living in the US for more than 25 years and considers the US her adopted home country, it was really unpleasant to hear so much criticism about the US. If Nergis just kept her political opinions to herself and only talked about the beautiful history of Ephesus and Turkey, it would have been a perfect day. It’s a shame she ruined it at the end.

This was a fabulous tour with an amazing guide! The lunch is delicious and the car for transportation was air-conditioned and clean. The tour itself was informative and interesting. This tour was just the right length for me. Our tour guide was amazing!
