An enjoyable tour that with a great guide. It is difficult to fully appreciate the sites without a good guide as time there is a limited amount intact and and many interesting this to see. As it is low season the lack of crowds give you time to apreciate the sites.

Kemal was a good guide who explained the history and managed our time well as he took us through ancient pergamon city and the asklepion. Definitely have good shoes for this tour as the terrain can be very uneven. The restaurant they stopped at for lunch is off the highway and far from any other food options so you can't really opt for some place else. That said, the $15 buffet had many turkish dishes to choose from, though drinks are extra. Hotel pickup/drop-off went smoothly, with good communication with tour company beforehand and with the guide on the day of. Overall, a nice tour.

Pergamum is an ancient city that's home to a hilltop acropolis that once rival Athens. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the ancient capital of Asia Minor. Its library was second only to that of Alexandria. The Alter of Zeus was located on a stepped rise at the top of the Mount Ida complex that's reached by a gondola.
