Taste of İstanbul Food Tour on Two Continents: in Europe & Asia

This was a fantastic food tour. Our guide was Emir and he was excellent - very warm, friendly and enthusiastic. He gave us lots of tips about the city as well. His knowledge of the different types of food and Turkish culture and history really enhanced the tour. We tried many dishes of local foods, The food was varied, delicious and well paced so you don’t get too full. I recommend doing this tour early in your Istanbul stay as it really acquaints you with the markets and their options on the European and Asian sides. Then you can go back well informed of the options. Special info; go on tour with empty belly please.

We booked a food tour and had a great time. Emir got us to try a variety of savory and sweet turkish dishes - all were delicious - and told us a lot about turkish cuisine, raw materials and influences from other cultures. We went wandering around in Eminönü /kadıköy and ended the tour in sirkeci . We got tips about using public transport and where to find nice pubs and bars and good local restaurants ( not touristic). We can highly recommend the tour and emir as a guide. A word of warning, though: come with an empty stomach, it's a lot of food!

I had very good times with and had great local foods. We went to Asia side and visited local food market and ate local foods in the food market. Highly recommended to food lovers

This was such an awesome experience. Ali's knowledge of the city as well as the food scene was sensational. I was so grateful that he still showed even though I was the only one there. We visited so many great places that only a local would know. Every food stop (I think it was 9!) had a history and unique story. I can say you would not find a more enjoyable experience. We boked for street food tour on two continents. Started with some turkish pastry stuffed cheese, potato and mest and some black tea aswell then took a ferry to Asian Side. Had some more food at food market but pickled veg and juice was my favorite. Loved the tour and awesome foods. Higly recommended to people who love street foods.

Exellent tour . Good selection of different foods and plenty of them . Had good times walking into hidden places of the city, explanation of the cultural links to the food we ate and history of istanbul. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly ensuring the whole group felt included. He helped with local costums and higlighted other foods we might want to try in our own time. Recommended to everyone speacly foodies

Our walking food tour in Istanbul was very good. Muhhamed our guide was gorgeus and very passionate about the foods and traditions of turkey. The places we visited were all locals. We had more then enough foods. All the foods were delicious tasty in both sides of the city value for money that we paid. Well worth doing while staying in the City and great way to learn about City cuisine. Do not have breakfast pls before the tour if your having the morning tour.

Food tour of two continents with local food guide.

The guide provided us with an excellent food tour. He explained the culture behind the different items we tried. We really enjoyed the varieties of food. I appreciate that even though there were only two of us they still did the tour. He also answered the many questions we had about the culture of Turkey. We tried foods in Europea and Asia side that we would not normally have tried on our own. We took ferry to cross both sides in the city, saw the food market in Asian side and tried foods there. Highly recommend this food tour.
