Day 1 – Day 1: Arrival in Alnwick

Arrive in the charming town of Alnwick, nestled on the south bank of the River Aln. Check-in at your hotel (e.g., The White Swan Hotel or similar) from 3 PM, with free parking available for guests. If traveling by train, Alnmouth Station is a short taxi ride away. Meet your tour leader at 6 PM in the hotel reception for an introductory briefing, followed by an optional group dinner to get acquainted with your fellow travelers. We recommend visiting the historic Alnwick Castle and Gardens, home to the powerful Earls of Northumberland.
Day 2 – Day 2: Exploring Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle

After breakfast, drive to the mainland overlooking Holy Island. Follow the Pilgrim's Path to Holy Island, tracing the steps of St. Aiden. Explore the island, visiting Lindisfarne Priory, Lindisfarne Castle, and the Lindisfarne Mead Shop. In the afternoon, return to Alnwick with a stop at the imposing Bamburgh Castle. Today's moderate walk covers 12 kilometers over approximately 4 hours, mostly on flat terrain.

Drive to Howick for a circular walk along the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pass Cullernose Point, visit Craster village, and explore the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. Return to Howick Hall for a possible visit. In the evening, consider an optional walk around Alnwick, including a visit to Barter Books. Today's walk covers 14 kilometers over approximately 5 hours, with a total ascent and descent of 140 meters.
Day 4 – Day 4: Walking Along Hadrian's Wall

Travel inland to Hadrian's Wall, starting at The Sill Visitor Centre. Walk along one of the best-preserved sections of the wall, passing Sycamore Gap and Housesteads Roman Hill Fort. Optionally visit the Roman archaeological site of Vindolanda. Today's walk covers 13-15 kilometers over approximately 4-5 hours, with a total ascent and descent of 400 meters.
Day 5 – Day 5: Exploring Simonside Hills and Cragside House

Drive to the trailhead near Rothbury for a walk in the Simonside Hills. Reach the summit for panoramic views of the Cheviot Hills and North Sea coastline. In the afternoon, visit Cragside House and Gardens, with optional self-guided walks around Cragside woods. Today's walk covers 7 kilometers over approximately 2 hours, with a total ascent and descent of 240 meters. Additional optional walks range from 3 to 10 kilometers.
