Today's journey takes you from Salzburg to the charming town of Oberndorf, the birthplace of the Christmas carol 'Silent Night'. You'll then cycle to the tranquil Lake Holzöster and over slight hills to the historical Michaelbeuern Abbey. Your final destination for the day is Trumer, where you'll stay at the Walkner (or similar) or Mitterhof (or similar).

On the third day, you'll cycle along the banks of Lake Obertrum to the town of Seekirchen. Continue on the cycle path around Lake Wallersee to Henndorf and Eugendorf. The journey then takes you over deep-green meadows to Thalgau and further on to the picturesque Lake Mondsee. Your accommodation for the night will be at the Krone (or similar) or Meingast (or similar).

On the fourth day, you'll cycle along Lake Mondsee and Lake Attersee. The journey continues through the Aurachtal valley to Lake Traunsee, where you'll visit the town of Gmunden, known for its castle Orth and ceramics factory. You'll also visit Altmünster, home to a bicycle museum, and Traunkirchen, famous for the 'Fishermen’s Pulpit'. Your accommodation for the night will be at the Post Ebensee (or similar) or Hocheck (or similar).

On the fifth day, you'll cycle along the river Traun to Lake Hallstätter See and the historical town of Hallstatt. You'll then pass through Bad Ischl, known for its Emperor’s Park, Emperor’s Villa, and Empress Sissi’s Teahouse. The journey continues to Lake Wolfgangsee, where you'll visit St. Wolfgang, famous for its White Horse Inn, parish church, and cog railway. You'll also visit Strobl, Lake Abersee, and the Zinkenbachklamm gorge before reaching St. Gilgen, the Mozart village on Lake Wolfgangsee. Your accommodation for the night will be at the Seehotel Huber (or similar) or Aberseehof (or similar).
Day 6 – Day 6: St. Gilgen to Salzburg

On the sixth day, you'll cycle from St. Gilgen to the deep blue Fuschlsee and Tiefbrunnau. The journey continues past the Hintersee lake and the Strubklamm gorge into the Wiestal valley. From Hallein, you'll follow the Tauern cycle path to Salzburg, visiting the castle Schloss Hellbrunn along the way. Your final destination is the festival and Mozart city of Salzburg, known for its fortress and old town. Your accommodation for the night will be at the ARCOTEL Castellani (or similar) or Ganslhof (or similar).
