5 Day - Snæfellsnes & South Coast

Kick off your Icelandic adventure from Reykjavik, heading west to the serene Snaefellsnes peninsula. Explore the charming fishing village of Arnarstapi and opt for an underground adventure in the ancient Vatnshellir cave. After a leisurely lunch in Hellnar, enjoy a short hike on the pebble-stone Djupalonssandur beach and marvel at the remains of a shipwreck. Continue your journey around the peninsula, stopping at the iconic Mt. Kirkjufell before retiring to your hotel. If luck is on our side, we might even spot the Northern Lights.

After breakfast, journey along the scenic west coast to West Iceland. Witness the power of Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring, and explore the historical site of Reykholt. Marvel at the unique spectacle of Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, where water flows from beneath lava fields. Leave Borgarfjordur behind and head towards the Snaefellsnes peninsula, stopping at the unique Gerduberg basalt columns before reaching your accommodation for the night.

Day four takes you east through captivating lava fields and desert glacier sands. The highlight of the day is a glacier adventure, including a visit to a crystal ice cave in Vatnajokull and the magnificent Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. After a safety briefing, explore the magical blue ice cave under the guidance of certified glacier guides. At the glacier lagoon, marvel at the icebergs of different sizes and shapes in the twilight of the afternoon. After a day full of adventure, retire to a hotel in the Skaftafell area, keeping an eye out for the Northern Lights.

After breakfast, head out for another glacier hike on one of Vatnajokull's outlet glaciers. After the hike, journey back to Reykjavik, stopping at the breathtaking Fjadrargljufur Canyon and revisiting some of the sites from day three. Depending on the weather and conditions, there might be additional stops along the way. Arrive in Reykjavik between 8 and 11 PM, marking the end of an unforgettable Icelandic adventure.
