English-speaking guides
Two German-speaking lecturers or expedition members will be on board, on departures reflecting it accordingly. Informational meetings, important onboard announcements, one lecture per voyage, and daily summaries will be in German on these cruise departures. The expedition team will attempt to send German-speaking guests as a group on Zodiac trips/land excursions; however, there is not always the possibility of having a German-speaking driver or lecturer on every single Zodiac/excursion. Safety briefings are either translated, or guests are informed in writing of the safety precautions on the cabin (letter or on the cabin TV). The onboard language continues to be English, and staff and crew communicate largely in English. The onboard program is subject to change at short notice.

Day 1 – Day 1: Welcome to Greenland!

Your Greenland adventure begins today! After your arrival, you'll have some free time to explore the town at your own pace. In the late afternoon, we'll transfer to the harbour and board our ship. After a safety demonstration, we'll have dinner in the dining room before setting sail through the fjord and out into the ocean. Remember to pack a waterproof jacket for the Zodiac ferry ride to the ship.
Day 2 – Day 2: Exploring Sisimiut
Day 2: Exploring Sisimiut
After breakfast, we'll arrive in the colourful town of Sisimiut, the second largest city in Greenland. We'll explore the historic colonial quarter, visit the museum and the beautiful Blue Church, and get a glimpse of daily life in modern Greenland. In the afternoon, we'll continue our voyage northward, passing stunning fjords and small towns.
Day 3 – Day 3: Discovering Disko Island
Day 3: Discovering Disko Island
Today, we'll explore Disko Island, known for its towering 1,000-meter mountains. We'll visit the town of Godhavn, where we'll walk through the town to the unique octagonal church. We might also visit the local community to learn more about their way of life.
Day 4 – Day 4: Unveiling Uummannaq
Day 4: Unveiling Uummannaq
Wake up to the stunning views of Uummannaq, a town situated on a small island. We'll explore the city and visit the historic train-oil building. Enjoy the extraordinary vista of the island's tall rock faces, snow-covered peaks, and icebergs floating in the fiord.
Day 5 – Day 5: Marveling at Eqip Sermia Glacier and Ilulissat
Day 5: Marveling at Eqip Sermia Glacier and Ilulissat
Today, we'll witness the magnificent Eqip Sermia glacier, renowned for its beauty. We'll sail as close as possible to the glacier, observing its grandeur safely. In the afternoon, we'll head for Ilulissat, where we'll take an evening walk to the Sermermiut plain.

Spend the day in Ilulissat, the 'Iceberg Capital'. We'll explore the town, visit the Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and have the opportunity to join a boat trip to the Icefjord or a flightseeing ride over it. In the evening, we'll cruise southward, leaving Disko Bay behind.
Day 7 – Day 7: Sarfannguit and Kangerlussuaq Fjord

Today, we'll visit the settlement of Sarfannguit, where we'll learn about rural life in Greenland. We'll then journey toward the Kangerlussuaq Fjord, enjoying panoramic views of high mountains and deep valleys.

On the final day of our tour, we'll disembark in Kangerlussuaq after passing through the Kangerlussuaq Fjord. We'll explore the area, known for its stunning landscapes shaped by the Ice Age. Afterward, we'll catch our return flight to Reykjavik or Copenhagen, carrying with us unforgettable memories of our Greenland adventure.
