We kick off our journey from Hotel Cicerone in Rome at 08:30, heading towards the Abruzzo region. Our first stop is the beautiful town of Tagliacozzo, known for its stunning medieval buildings nestled at the foot of the Marsica mountains. We then proceed to Sulmona, the city of the poet Ovidio, where you'll be invited to taste the confetti, a traditional sweet treat. After exploring Sulmona's medieval gates, aqueduct, and charming fountains, we continue to Pescara for an overnight stay.

After lunch, we traverse the Gran Sasso National Park, home to some of the highest peaks of the Apennines mountain chain, en route to Teramo. This ancient Italic and Roman city offers a fascinating blend of palaces and churches from medieval times. We'll spend the night in Teramo after a day of exploration.

After lunch, we head to Volterra, a city famous for its alabaster craftsmanship.
