Embark on a 13-day journey through the heart of Spain, tracing the steps of pilgrims on the famous Camino de Santiago. This multi-day tour offers an immersive experience of Spain's rich history, stunning architecture, and breathtaking landscapes. From the bustling city of Bilbao to the serene mountain village of Roncesvalles, and from the historic city of Pamplona to the picturesque town of Logroño, you'll explore a tapestry of cultures and traditions. Along the way, you'll visit iconic landmarks like the Guggenheim Museum, the Gothic Cathedral in Burgos, and the Roman ruins in Astorga. You'll also enjoy local delicacies, wine tastings, and tapas crawls. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or a foodie, this tour has something for everyone.
Included
12 breakfasts, 12 dinners (beverages and coffee included). Breakfasts are usually continental inclusive of bread or toast, tea and coffee. Dinner may start with soup, rice or pasta, followed by either an egg, chicken, red meat or fish dish & finishing with a dessert of fruit, crême caramel, etc. Dinners can be at the hotel or at local restaurants and in Leon, is a light tapas meal. Please note in Spain dinners are generally served between 8pm – 9.30pm

During the trip you will stay in a collection of hand picked accommodation ranging from a charming rural posada to modern city hotels, hotels housed in historic buildings to atmospheric inns. Location is one of the key factors, with clean, mainly spacious rooms, helpful staff and a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Generally our meals will be taken at the hotel and this is another key factor in our selection process.

Our route today takes us from the province of Castile to Galicia. We'll transfer to O Cebreiro, with its imposing church and wonderful views of the Galician countryside. After a walk to Triacastela, we'll transfer to Sarria for dinner and overnight.

From Sarria, we'll walk through hamlets, farmland, and woodlands to Portomarin. After exploring the town, we'll transfer to Arzúa for a traditional Queimada, dinner, and overnight.

Spend the morning exploring Santiago de Compostela on a guided tour. In the afternoon, we'll take a half-day excursion to Cape Finisterre, a symbolic destination historically considered the edge of the known world. We'll return to Santiago for a farewell dinner.
