Welcome to Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland, your gateway to the Arctic. After a short drive from Keflavik International Airport, settle into your pre-arranged hotel. Spend the day exploring the city's cultural landmarks, including the National Museum and Culture House, the iconic Hallgrímskirkja church, and the Whales of Iceland museum. Enjoy an authentic Icelandic dinner at one of the city's many restaurants.

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Reykjavík, perhaps visiting the serene Tjörnin lake. In the afternoon, board the deluxe expedition vessel M/V Sea Spirit. Settle into your spacious suite and familiarize yourself with the ship. As we sail through Faxaflói, keep an eye out for whales.

Sail north across the Denmark Strait towards East Greenland. Celebrate crossing the Arctic Circle and keep a lookout for whales and seabirds. As night falls, you may have the chance to witness the magical Northern Lights.

Spend the day exploring the stunning fjords, coasts, and islands of Scoresby Sund, one of the world's most visually impressive fjord systems. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including polar bears, seals, and a variety of birds. Visit the remote Inuit village of Ittoqqortoormiit and experience the Northern Lights in one of the best locations in the Arctic.

After an unforgettable time in Scoresby Sund, we head back across the Denmark Strait towards Iceland. Enjoy presentations and workshops by our expert staff, and keep an eye out for seabirds and whales from the ship's open decks.

Spend the day exploring the beautiful Vestfirðir (Westfjords) of Iceland, a remote region known for its rugged mountains, voluminous waterfalls, and deep fjords. Look out for whales in the fjords and seals and birds in the estuaries.
